We have an amazing chance to join our team as a Deputy Manager at a Residential unit for young people and adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism (ASD) challenging behaviour and other Mental Health concerns at our Units in Gravesend and Rochester, Kent.
What You’ll Do:
Support the Registered Manager in the day to day management of the unit
To carry out paperwork tasks and perform audits to ensure that all paperwork is filled out accurately and within our requirements.
To solve the day to day problematical concerns which may crop up.
Protecting the service user at all times.
To get involved in supporting the day to day activities of service users and to ensure that the care we deliver is person-centred
To ensure the service userβs care plan, risk assessment and other related documentation is completed, accurate and up-to-date.
Ability to deal with difficult behaviour and difficult situations
To provide cover for the Registered Manager in their absence and to take action to ensure that care standards required by statute and the local authorities are met and maintained
To guarantee compliance with policies and procedures.
Must be flexible with schedule especially covering absences. The position involves working weekend shifts and sleeping in.
Supervising staff, including induction, training and supervision.
To ensure that practitioners are skilled in their work.
About You:
A compassionate, helpful and proactive approach
Good time management abilities and being organised
An successful leader of a team
Prior experience with giving drugs
Knowledge of CQC regulations and regulatory requirements
Proven ability to successfully lead teams in services working with mental health, learning disabilities, autism, sexual hazardous behaviour and difficult behaviour.
Hold a degree or level 3 in Health and Social Care and be working towards a level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care
At least 3 years experience as a team leader or senior support person
