You will be in charge of feeding the cows on the farm every day as our feeder waggon operator. Using state-of-the-art equipment, you will collaborate closely with the nutrition and herd teams to guarantee correct and timely ration delivery.
Principal Duties:
Maintain and run feeder waggons and related machinery
Accurately mix and supply Total Mixed Ration (TMR) in accordance with feed sheets.
Keep an eye on feed intake and modify loading as necessary.
Keep feed areas clean and compliant with biosecurity regulations.
Perform basic servicing and routine maintenance on equipment.
Maintain precise feed and maintenance records.
What We Are Seeking:
Prior experience using a feeder waggon or other comparable agricultural equipment
Basic mechanical knowledge and a keen eye for machine maintenance
Knowledge of TMR feeding and dairy cow nutrition (training can be given)
Excellent time management and attention to detail
Capable of working both individually and together
Adaptable and ready to work a schedule on the weekends
Desired:
Telehandler or forklift ticket
Experience operating a tractor
Large-scale dairy farm experience
