Registered Nurse – AMU
East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust
Ashford, United Kingdom
Do you want to work in same-day emergency care nursing or acute medicine? If so, you can find a job at the AMU department at William Harvey Hospital in East Kent. As one of the biggest acute trusts in England, we have the fortunate location of being close to stunning beaches and the Kent countryside, whilst also having quick access to the heart of London. Therefore, East Kent offers something for everyone, regardless of your interests in cathedrals, castles, top-notch grammar schools, or sleek and fashionable dining establishments.
Joining East Kent Hospitals’ Urgent & Emergency Care Group is an amazing opportunity right now. Last year, we improved our emergency care access standards to the point that we were among the Top Ten trusts in England. Additionally, we recently spent £6.2 million to upgrade our emergency floor.
We currently have openings in the AMU Department’s Acute Medical Unit and Same Day Emergency Care Unit, and we are seeking to add more eager and enthusiastic nurses to our current compassionate and caring team. In exchange, we can provide you with an exciting work environment that will help you develop the skills and abilities needed in either speciality. A sizable interdisciplinary team, comprising a governance, quality, and audit team, nursing consultants, practice growth assistance, and an established advanced clinical practitioner (ACP) program, will assist you in achieving this. The deputy head of nursing and the care group head of nursing assist the two unit managers and a matron in the AMU department.
We provide flexible work schedules, and if you’re not sure whether you want to work in emergency medicine, ambulatory care, or acute medicine, we also offer a rotating program that will allow you to get experience in all areas and ultimately choose your field of specialisation.
With five hospitals and community clinics catering to a local population of almost 800,000, we are among the biggest hospital trusts in England. ‘amazing healthcare from amazing people’ is our vision. Our values—”People feel cared for, safe, respected, and confident that we are making a difference”—guide all we do. ‘We care’ is the new method of working at East Kent Hospitals. It’s about giving frontline employees the freedom to spearhead daily improvements. We are seeking caring individuals to join us on our path to bettering the lives of the patients, families, and carers we serve on a daily basis.
