About the Job
This job reports to the Head of Retail Operations Manager and is in charge of the service at all four campuses, which now have 15 stores and a team of 45 people running them. We work more than seven days a week, thus it’s important to be able to work at different times and places. The job lets you work from home some of the time, but most of the time you have to be on site, especially during the school year.
You should have worked in a fast-paced retail catering business with many locations. We have a variety of current food and drink ideas, such as barista-style cafes, “Deli” bars, “Grab and Go” pods, and many other places that serve freshly made hot meals.
You will keep up with market developments and actively promote retail services. You will also come up with strategic plans to provide a high-quality, high-value service.
You should be friendly, organised, and easy to talk to. You should also work hard to provide and encourage great customer service and operational excellence.
One of the most important things you will do is lead and manage our team, make sure that we hire the right people, and keep an eye on their performance to make sure we meet service requirements.
You need to know how to manage a budget so that you may make the most of sales possibilities while also making sure that all parts of service delivery are as efficient as possible.
To make sure that both university policy and all regulatory requirements of food safety regulations are followed, you will need to speed up a number of administrative tasks.
