A Senior Support Worker position with our First Response Services in Chester, based at our location at the Countess of Chester, has become available. The chosen candidate will be expected to work in the Crisis Line, Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams, Liaison Services, Street Triage Services, and Liaison and Diversion Services, among other Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Services.
Principal responsibilities of the position
Assisting qualified practitioners in the Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Team and across the Urgent Care Mental Health First Response Service will be the primary responsibility of the Senior Support Worker.
In addition to signposting and recommending people to the right services, the position holder is expected to establish close relationships with partner agencies and the third sector in order to cooperatively assist the needs of a person experiencing a crisis.

The successful Countywide Early Intervention in Psychosis program is presently being expanded. To address the needs of people and their families going through their first episode of psychosis, the service offers targeted and targeted community services to the people of Bedfordshire and Luton. The team’s age range begins at 14 years old and spans both CAMH and Adult Mental Health services. Principal responsibilities of the position
- To promote and monitor service users’ physical and mental health as a vital and highly esteemed part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team, guided and overseen by Care Coordinators. delivering comprehensive, person-centred treatment that empowers clients to pursue their rehabilitation objectives.
- For a maximum of 12 sessions, the Community Support Worker will work with service users using the Care Program Approach. Under the close supervision of the service users’ Care Coordinator, the Community Support Worker will review and develop goal-based strategies to encourage independence and recovery.
- To assist each service user in finding, obtaining, and using community-based support, acquiring self-sufficient life skills, and creating a personal support system to aid in their road to recovery.
- To encourage recovery or stop deterioration, the position holder will collaborate with carers and service users who have been identified as having eligible social care needs. They will provide direct assistance to carers in filling out funding applications, carer assessments, reviews, advice and guidance, and referrals to support services.
