Visa
Before going to the UK to start the placement, those who want to take advantage of this opportunity must make sure they have a valid visa in place. This usually entails the applicant applying for a temporary work visa (Charity Worker visa) with Scargill Movement serving as the sponsor.
For those looking for sponsorship, Scargill has a rigorous application process. We look for financial proof as well as references from friends, clergy, and employers. Your flight expenses, administration fee, and NHS surcharge must be paid. The information packet issued to individuals who express interest in volunteering for the International Community has more details.
The UK Visas and Immigration website, which is a function of the UK Home Office, also provides additional information about the requirements.
Please contact us and we will provide you with further information if you are interested in applying to join the community as part of our International Community Volunteer Program.
