About the Role

Please be aware that this position is only open to UK-based individuals who are currently on a healthcare or skilled worker visa who are seeking to transfer their sponsorship to another domestic care provider. You must already be living in your own home close to the position, have a valid English driver’s license (unless you have been in the UK for less than a year, in which case you should have a license from your home country), have care experience, and be confident behind the wheel in the UK.

On a limited basis, Candlelight Care may now provide sponsorship changes in the Somerset communities of Glastonbury, Street, Wells, and Shepton Mallet.

Main Tasks

Working in health and social care means that every day is unique, but you should anticipate getting to know your clients’ needs and interests. Provide individualised emotional and practical assistance, help with personal care (e.g., clothing, toileting, and washing), domestic home chores, and food preparation.

Along with helping with medicine and the use of personal equipment and mobility aids as needed, you will also be responsible for informing the Registered Manager of any major changes in a client’s health or situation.

At Candlelight Care, we support and facilitate our clients’ continued independence while working in their best interests and ensuring their safety and well-being.

To ensure you that you will receive a steady, regular salary, 37.5 hours per week are guaranteed.
£23,200 is the minimum pay per year.

Eligibility and Qualifications For Support Worker

We are seeking an individual with a minimum of two years of experience working in a care-based capacity, whether in a hospital, care facility, or domiciliary field. It is not necessary for this experience to take place in the UK.

You must already be in the UK, currently enrolled in another provider’s sponsorship, and prepared to transfer your sponsorship to us in order to be considered for this position.

Additionally, you must be willing to move to the Wimborne area, have access to your own vehicle, and possess a driver’s license. If you now reside in Wimborne or the neighbouring areas, it would be quite helpful.
