The scheme will be set out in various phases and will depend on nationality. The ETA scheme will be mandatory for the following travelers.
Passengers who are visiting the UK, and transiting through the UK don’t require a visa for short stays and who don’t possess any other immigration status prior to traveling from November 2023. Qatar residents will require an ETA. Meanwhile, Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and other UAE residents will require an ETA from February 2024. There will be more countries on the list in the future.
Also, there have been some amendments to the European Union settlement scheme by 5th October 2023. The rights for administrative reviewing for European Union settlement scheme refusals and cancellation decisions are to be removed. Appendix E You will also see some technical changes.
