5 Ways To Move To The UK without a Job offer
What does self sponsorship mean? It simply means you don’t require visa sponsorship to migrate or settle in the UK. But is it possible? Let’s find out if you’re struggling to find visa sponsorship job in the UK. This is a must post for you, five ways in which you can migrate to the UK without any sponsorship: Move To The UK without a Job offer
1. Global Talent Visa
The first UK visa category is called Global Talent Visa. Have you heard of it? This is a category for those people who are good in three fields. First is research, second is arts and culture. Third is technology. You can read more details on the UK government website, but I’ll try to explain in simple terms. It replaced the tier one Exceptional Talent Visa in Feb 2020. In this visa category, you need to prove to an endorsing body that you are a leader or potential leader in your field and only when endorsing bodies convinced based on the evidence you have submitted, then only they can grant you endorsement letter, but not the visa. Once you get this letter, then you can apply for your visa on the basis of your endorsement letter.
Now let me explain you with an example. You’re working for five years, and if you can prove that you are a leader in your field by providing evidence like, two emails from your directors, share details of any articles you have published. Show them that you were a mentor, show that you have a social media following, etc. if you can collect all this evidence and submit, there’s a good chance for you to get this endorsing letter. Now same example goes for people saying Arts. If you’re a renowned dancer or you are a TV artist, or if you have done some series, shot films, etc., you are eligible to apply for this visa category.
2.Innovator Founder Visa
Now let’s quickly move to visa category number two which is called Innovator Founder Visa. If you have a good business idea which doesn’t exist in the market, and if you can prove your business idea is new, innovative and scalable, you are eligible for this. Now you need to submit your business proposal and if approved, you will get endorsement letter to apply for this visa.
3. Self Sponsorship Visa
Now moving to the third visa category which is called Self Sponsorship Visa. Well, you may already know that there is no visa category called is Self Sponsorship on the UK Home Office website. Self sponsorship visa are for those individuals who establish and operate their own business in the UK. You have a business in India and you want to expand or move your business to the UK, you can take this route. Remember, this business doesn’t have to be a new business. It can be any genuine business which you want to run in the UK. Remember with this route you can settle in the UK with your families within five years and get your ILR. However, it’s important to note that their legal fees for self sponsorship visas are £30,000 plus VAT for individuals residing abroad and for those already in the UK.
 4. High Potential Individual Visa
Now let’s talk about the fourth visa category, which is called High Potential Individual Visa. Under this visa, international graduates from the most prestigious universities around the world are able to work in the UK without needing a job offer. This visa was launched on 30th of May 2022, to attract top global students so that they can contribute to the growth of UK economy. So who is eligible? It is open to applicants who have graduated from a top 50 global university, and you must have been awarded an overseas bachelor’s or postgraduate degree qualification in the last five years from a top global university. if you studied anywhere from, India, Pakistan, Nigeria, you may notice that your university is not listed. However, if you have studied overseas from any of these universities, you can migrate to the UK without needing any job offer.
5. Youth Mobility Visa and for Indian young Professionals scheme
Now moving to the fifth and the last visa category for today. It’s called Youth Mobility Visa and for Indians it’s young Professionals scheme. Now this visa is a partnership between UK and a few countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand and most recently India was added to this partnership where both people from the countries can come and live in each other’s country without any job offer or sponsorship. You can review the full details of countries and their eligibility criteria from this page, which you see on the screen. But this is a lottery visa, which means if you are lucky, then only you will get a chance to move to the UK. On a high level, the eligibility criteria are. First, you must be between 18 and 30 years old for most of the countries like India, Iceland, Japan, but for few countries they have even allowed 35 years of age like Australia.
Second criteria is you must have bachelor’s degree or above to be eligible for this visa. Third criteria is you must have at least £2,530 in savings and not have children or dependents who will be joining you in the UK.
Good news for Indians. The second ballot is open from 16th of July till 18th of July 2024. This is open only for 48 hours, so if you think you are eligible, make sure to get ready with your details like your passport, email, phone number, etc. you can watch the detailed demo video here. Now let me quickly add a few things. The Youth Mobility Visa is not a road to permanent settlement in the UK, and you cannot extend your stay beyond the two year limit.
But you are allowed to switch visa, say if you happen to find a sponsor for yourself, you can switch to Skill Visa now. The number of youth mobility visas available each year is limited for Indians is 3000, and each participating country has its own allocation of visa. Therefore, it’s important to apply as soon as possible once the application process opens. So 16th of July till 18th of July is your time.
