About the Role
In order to provide compassionate care for people in a home care setting, Gecko Care is looking for a committed Care Assistant to join our team. The job entails keeping service users safe in their homes and helping them with everyday tasks. You would have to deliver the necessary services by going door to door.
Duties
- Effectively communicate with coworkers, relatives, and service users
- Support the execution of care plans customised to each person’s needs
- Assist with personal care duties
- Use IT technologies to keep accurate records.
- Provide residents with company and emotional support.
Requirements
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- It is beneficial to have prior experience in a home care or assisted living facility.
- Capacity to function both individually and in a team
- Having empathy and compassion for other people
- Fundamental IT abilities for communication and record-keeping
Education:
- (Preferred) GCSE or its equivalent
Experience:
- One year of home care (recommended)
Certification/Licensure:
- A valid driver’s license is preferred.
