The Part:

The Property Programme team is searching for two Project
Managers who will help the Property Director plan, run, and carry out Property Management for a wide range of client stakeholders within the City Council’s property assets, which is worth about £1.7 billion.

The Project Manager – Property is in charge of the function, and the person in the role will help the Programme Manager run the City Council’s Corporate Landlord Function and the larger Property Improvement Programme in a way that is both successful and strategic. The person in this position will help keep an eye on and improve the company’s overall business plans.

As a Project Manager, you’ll be in charge of making sure that projects are planned, executed, and closed on schedule, within budget, and to the right quality standards. The person in this role will be part of a program delivery team that builds relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, such as Legal, Procurement, Finance, and Regeneration, as well as suppliers, consultants, and partners, to make sure the program is a success, keeps getting better, and becomes a model of excellence.

As a Project Manager with experience working in property management (including commercial, estates, and/or facilities management), you will be able to show that you know how to manage the entire project lifecycle, from developing milestones and KPIs to managing risks, resources, budgets, and time.

About the Job:

A new job has been made to help the Development Planning Manager run and manage the performance of the larger development service. The job will be in charge of managing heritage, urban design, technical assistance, and main officers who are in charge of carrying out important strategic initiatives. You will help the Development Planning Manager make sure that the service satisfies all of its legal obligations and provides a service that is responsive, professional, effective, and focused on the client. A big part of the job will be helping team leaders use a casework approach to make sure that officers get proactive support across the service.

About the person who applied:

We want someone who is persistent and self-motivated and who is excited about making sure the service gets delivered. You will have a degree in a related field and be very knowledgeable about the most recent planning laws and best practices in all areas of the planning service and local government. You will also need to show that you know about current heritage and urban design policy and have expertise managing people, particularly experience managing performance and motivating and developing individuals.
