Overview of the Job
The position holder will collaborate with service users as part of the Community Eating Disorder Service and with assistance from the Multi-Disciplinary Team to carry out prearranged plans to enhance independence in day-to-day living and provide access to a variety of educational, volunteer, employment, sports, leisure, and creative activities to aid in the service user’s recuperation. A trained team member will offer clinical supervision.
In addition to working primarily with the CYP (Children and Young People) Eating Disorder Team, the position holder may occasionally be asked to assist with treatment in our Adult Eating Disorder Service. In addition to providing home therapy and community outreach, the position holder will need to travel to other locations, with Hopewood serving as our primary base. Working both individually and in groups, this position demands the person to assist service users in their recovery.
