Baboo (Wholesale Meats) Ltd is looking for a Warehouse Manager to run the day-to-day operations of a busy wholesale meat business. The job is mostly about managing operations, keeping track of inventory, overseeing staff, arranging shipments, and making sure rules are followed.
Main Duties – Warehouse Manager Responsibilities UK
Manage the everyday activities of the warehouse, such as receiving, storing, moving merchandise, and shipping.
Oversee warehouse workers and assign tasks to keep the workflow going smoothly.
Keep an eye on inventory accuracy, stock control systems, waste, and storage levels.
Plan the processes for getting items in and out
Plan the delivery and oversee the dispatch
Make sure that all health and safety rules, food handling rules, cleanliness rules, and warehouse procedures are followed.
Look for differences in stock, problems with operations, and delays in workflow.
Make staff schedules, keep an eye on their work, and help with operational training
Talk to managers, drivers, suppliers, and office workers about what the warehouse needs.
Find ways to make things run more smoothly, handle stock better, and provide better service.
What You Need – Warehouse Manager Job Requirements UK
Experience in managing storage, running a warehouse, or supervising a warehouse
A good understanding of stock control, shipping, and warehouse operations
Good in organising and managing people
Ability to keep track of tasks in a busy warehouse
Preferred experience in wholesale food, frozen items, refrigerated storage, or meat distribution
