The Department
The Facilities Department at Uxbridge High School plays a key role in providing a safe, clean and well maintained environment that supports effective teaching and learning. The team is responsible for the day to day management of the school site, ensuring the care of buildings, grounds and equipment and that all areas are fit for purpose and compliant with health and safety regulations.
The Position
We are seeking to employ a proactive and reliable Facilities Assistant to join our Facilities Team. This is a diversified and practical role which is crucial to the continued safe, secure, well-maintained and welcome environment of our school for students, staff, visitors and community users.
You will be part of a team undertaking a wide range of activities including security, site inspections, maintenance, small repairs, porterage, event assistance, lettings and customer service. We are seeking someone with experience in maintenance, caretaking, facilities, estates, building, engineering, customer service or related contexts. Most importantly we are searching for someone with a pleasant attitude, strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute to the greater life of the school.
