We have six homes for kids right now. Four households that can take care of up to four kids ages 9 to 18 for a long time.Two places for kids with impairments and complicated health needs that are experts in caring for them. One home provides long-term care for up to six children between the ages of 11 and 18. The other home is a short breaks home that helps youngsters who normally live with their family or carers get care and assistance for predetermined periods of time. We are also adding small group living homes to our houses. These homes can care for up to two children at a time.
About the Job
Give safe, loving care in a therapeutic, trauma-informed setting.
Be a good role model and build warm, trusting relationships.
Help with assessments, care planning, and daily routines.
Keep accurate records and make sure that safety is always a top priority.
Work a schedule that includes sleep-ins and some evenings when you wake up.

Good at talking to others
Self-assured while dealing with difficult behaviour
Commitment to getting the Level 3 Diploma

Because we want to grow our children’s residential facilities, Kirklees Council is now looking for professionals with a variety of backgrounds to join our children’s residential services team. We really want to hear from anyone who have worked with children in care and want to move up in their careers. We also have options for senior growth for people who have worked in children’s homes and have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
All of the jobs in our children’s homes give a way for workers to move up in their careers and take on more responsibility. We are dedicated to helping our personnel grow and making sure that our service has a pleasant and motivating atmosphere.
