Overview of the Job
At Barts Health NHS Trust (St. Bartolomew’s Hospital), we offer a fantastic opportunity for a motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic Trainee Pharmacy Assistant to join our busy team. In addition to having outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, the position holder must be eager to learn and grow. By the completion of the 15-month program, participants will have received comprehensive training with the goal of earning a Pearson BTEC Level 2 Certificate in the Principles and Practice for Pharmacy Support Staff (Apprenticeship). Capital City College (WKC), the designated provider, administers the Level 2 qualifications.
Principal responsibilities of the position
You need to be dependable, have good communication skills, and be a team player. Additionally, you must be really interested in pursuing a career in hospital pharmacy. This position’s responsibilities/areas include: Clinical Trials Chemotherapy Services Unit; Dispensary Stores & Distribution. After qualifying, there will be chances to pursue a career as a Senior Pharmacy Assistant or, if the necessary requirements are satisfied, become a Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician. Some successful applicants might also be assigned to one of our other locations, such Whipps Cross University Hospital or Royal London Hospital.
Qualifications
Grades A/C or 4–9 on the GCSE include:
- The English language
- Math
- Double Science
Experience
- Work experience in a group
- Experience working in a customer service setting
Disclosure and Barring Service Verification
Because this position is governed by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, a disclosure request must be submitted to the Disclosure and Barring Service (previously CRB) in order to look up any prior criminal convictions.
