Wootton Vale and Shortstown Surgery is a forward thinking, innovative practice looking to recruit a GP assistant/healthcare coordinator to join their dynamic team on a full or part-time basis, depending on experience. This is a permanent job, but we are open to flexible contract options.
We want to hire someone who has a talent for assisting our patients have the greatest clinical outcome and who wants to make a career in healthcare. There is a chance to move up, learn new skills, and get GPA accreditation. For those who are already accredited, there is also a chance to grow.
You will need to be flexible because you may need to work extra or different hours to cover for coworkers.
Main Duties – UK Visa Sponsorship Healthcare Role
The main duties will be:
For clinicians, manage referrals through the right system.
If necessary, follow up on referrals.
Make sure that all referrals are received and that the referral process runs smoothly.
Answer questions from patients and talk to them when you need to.
Write letters for doctors when it’s suitable.
Co-ordinate birthday QOF reviews for all long-term conditions
Generate ICE forms for all blood tests.
Send out invitations and help people make appointments for these reviews.
Set up home visits for patients who can’t leave their homes.
Maintain obesity register.
In charge of handling the seasonal flu program as a project.

About the Candidate – Healthcare Coordinator/GP Assistant UK Visa Sponsorship

We would really like to hear from anyone who are:
GPA experience at a GP office.
Experienced in medical administration, with primary care experience. A person who is organised, self-motivated, and cares about others.
Excellent IT abilities, and knowledge with Microsoft Office and patient information systems is a plus.
Flexible, sociable, and self-motivated, with good organisational, time-management, and administrative skills.
People who are good in talking to others, can keep things private, and can think on their feet.
Can do more than one thing at once, work hard, and pay close attention to detail when things get tough.
Able to work with people from different fields and also be comfortable working alone.
Who We Are – Tier 2 Sponsoring Practice (UK Visa Sponsorship)
We are a friendly surgery with more than 18,000 patients. We have two locations: Wootton Vale (MK43 9JJ) and Shortstown Surgery (MK42 0GS). We have a strong sense of teamwork, with established clinical pharmacy, GP, nurse, physician associate, clinical liaison, and admin teams. This means that our patients are satisfied because they can easily get appointments. We are also a tier-2 sponsoring practice, thus we will help anyone who needs a tier 2 visa.
Our practice ethos is to provide traditional levels of patient care and friendliness, through innovation, supported by the latest technology. We work closely with both our community partners and the other GP offices in our primary care network.
Our staff comprises:
3 GP partners,
Physician Associate and salaried GPs.
A multi-skilled nursing team, including nurse prescribers.
A clinical pharmacist, a pharmacy technician, and a prescription administrator
Management, clinical support, administrative, and reception personnel that are dedicated.
