Barleymont Fairlop Montessori Nursery is a well-known Early Years setting in London that is part of the Barleymont Group. It provides high-quality, child-centered education for children from birth to five. We base our work on the EYFS statutory framework and add Montessori ideas to it to foster independence, curiosity, and learning with a purpose.
We need a Deputy Manager who is confident and dedicated to help with leadership, quality of education, safety, and everyday operations.
For qualified and worthy candidates, a Skilled Worker sponsorship licence is available, but only if they meet the requirements for the post.
Part
To help the Nursery Manager lead and manage well, make sure that the quality of education, safety and welfare needs are always addressed, and that Montessori-inspired, child-centered practice is always in line with Ofsted standards.
Main Duties (Skilled Worker visa childcare jobs)
Help the Nursery Manager run the place on a daily basis and lead the staff.
Lead and show good EYFS practice so that kids can make good progress from where they start.
Include Montessori ideas like independence, choice, focus, and respect for the child in your EYFS offering.
Help, guide, and supervise Early Years Educators and room leaders.
When needed, act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and keep a strong culture of being alert.
Make sure that safety, health, welfare, and staff-to-child ratios are always kept up.
Help in planning lessons, making observations, giving tests, and figuring out what to do next.
Keep an eye on how kids are growing and help them find any extra requirements early on and practise being inclusive.
Make good relationships with parents and work together with outside professionals.
Support for preparing for quality improvement, self-evaluation, and being ready for Ofsted.
Be in charge of the setting when the manager isn’t there.
Requirements and Qualifications(Skilled Worker visa childcare jobs)
At least an NVQ Level 3 in Early Years/Childcare or something similar.
Qualification at EYFS Level 3 or above.
Montessori qualification (Level 3, Diploma, or above) is a plus.
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in early years or early childhood education—helpful.
Experience in a senior or leadership role in an early years setting.
A lot of understanding about the EYFS statutory framework, how to keep children safe, and Ofsted inspection standards.
You have the legal right to work in the UK.
People with a Graduate Route (Post-Study Work) visa are welcome.
