To join our team, we are looking for a Senior Care Assistant who is committed and caring. In this position, you will ensure our residents’ comfort and well-being in a care home setting by offering them excellent care and support. The ideal applicant will have excellent leadership qualities and be able to interact with residents and staff in an effective manner, which will enhance the facility’s culture.
Duties
- Help individuals with everyday tasks like meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Together with family members and medical specialists, create and carry out individualised care plans.
- Oversee junior employees, offering direction and assistance to guarantee the maintenance of the highest standards of care.
- Address any issues or changes in residents’ health state by keeping in constant contact with them, their relatives, and other team members.
- Keep thorough records of resident care and development while making sure all legal obligations are met.
- To improve your senior care knowledge and abilities, take advantage of training and development possibilities.
- Lead programs that enhance the well-being and participation of residents in the assisted living environment.
Experience
- It is necessary to have prior experience in senior care or a related position.
- Proven leadership skills and prior staff supervisory experience are preferred.
- Strong knowledge of care plans and the capacity to carry them out successfully.
- Outstanding written and vocal communication abilities to engage with residents, families, and coworkers.
- It is beneficial to have IT expertise for record-keeping and care management software use.
- Health and social care level three, in addition to medication education
