You will help with daily activities (ADLs), keep an eye on the patient’s health, and make sure that care plans and safety rules are followed. Duties (Senior Care Assistant Jobs UK)
Help residents with daily tasks including washing, dressing, grooming, and moving around, utilising tools like Hoyer lifts when needed.
To make sure patients are safe and healthy, keep an eye on their vital signs, health, and changes in behaviour.
Give medications according to the care plans that have been set up, while also respecting HIPAA rules and safety standards.
Help residents with meal prep, serving, and following dietary rules for managing their nutrition.
Keep accurate records of patient observations, care given, and changes made to care plans.
Do light housekeeping tasks including cleaning the spaces where residents live to maintain them tidy.
Give first aid or CPR if needed to quickly respond to residents’ needs and crises.
Experience (Senior Care Assistant Jobs UK)
A history of working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home and community care settings
Experience in person with watching patients, giving them medicine, and checking their vital signs
Knowledge of how to care for people with dementia, Alzheimer’s, memory loss, or autism, as well as people with developmental problems
Knowing the HIPAA rules that protect patient privacy and confidentiality
Experience with assistance devices like Hoyer lifts or equipment for moving residents
A strong awareness of long-term care protocols, assisted living procedures, and care plans
Previous jobs in social work or caregiving that show you have empathy, patience, and good communication skills
