Job Role – What You Do (Senior Care Assistant jobs UK With Visa Sponsorship)

Talk to the right visiting or outside professionals to help people live their best lives. For instance, a dietitian, a speech and language therapist (SALT), a podiatrist, a community psychiatric nurse (CPN), and so on.
Help people with their care needs, include personal care, safe ways to move people, keeping an eye on their food and liquids intake and/or repositioning, and letting them know about any changes in their physical, mental, or emotional state.

Put into action and review people’s care plans and risk assessments.
Work with the registered nurse and/or senior team on ongoing assessments and reviews.
Keep records that are clear, correct, and up-to-date in accordance with rules and procedures.
Be honest, open, and trustworthy.
Communication
Talk to each other in a way that is honest, clear, and courteous.
Help people talk to each other in the way and language that works best for them.
Go to team meetings and talk about what happened and what you think with the other people there.
Talk to the right people and talk about “What is working well” and “What we could do better.” The person’s care plan should include these information.
Recognise “relationship-centered care” (a sense of belonging and purpose) by keeping up with relationships and routines that were already in place when the person was admitted.
To be successful, you need to be able to communicate well.
Teamwork and Collaboration
It is crucial that we know “what and who” is significant to the person we are helping.
Talk to and include friends and family when it’s suitable.
It’s important to keep up solid “Teamwork.” Teamwork is a core principle that shows how important working together, respecting each other, and taking responsibility as a group are to reaching common goals.
Use good practice guides and suggested tools to make sure that individuals have nice experiences.
Work with any investigations by my employer, the SSSC, or another relevant entity into my ability to do my job or the ability of others to do their jobs. This could mean going to hearings and giving witness testimony, papers, or other material on time.
Supervision, Evaluation, and Development
Get ready for and take part in supervision to think about my growth, learning needs, health, and practice.
Take part in yearly evaluations of staff.
It is the duty of each staff member to keep up with their own growth.
Make sure that EVOLVE’s required and mandated E-learning is up to date with the Enhance protocol.
Go to the training that the Home Manager suggests.
Complete the necessary SVQ certifications and skills for the role of senior carer.
Confidentiality
Respect private information and make sure your coworkers know the rules regarding keeping things private.
All employees MUST keep things private, even things that are private about a person. Staff MUST get permission before sharing and follow the rules of GDPR.
Before shooting pictures or videos of someone, especially if you want to share them on social media, you MUST get their permission.
Safeguarding & Safety
All personnel must make sure that people living in Enhance Healthcare are safe from neglect, harm, and abuse.
If you see or suspect abuse or harm, you must tell the person in authority right away. If this doesn’t work, let the Deputy Manager know and then the Home Manager if necessary.
Help coworkers and people give and get feedback, voice their issues and grievances, and take them seriously.

Health & Safety / Infection Control
Everyone on staff is accountable for keeping the area safe, which includes reporting any hazards and lowering risks.
Follow the rules, policies, and procedures that are meant to keep myself and my coworkers safe at work.
It is the job of all workers to keep the area clean.
Make sure that people’s bedrooms and common areas are clean and free of clutter.
