Christmas Decorations Designer – UK Visa Sponsorship
Job Description
Working Pattern
3 days in the office typically, core hours variable between 8am-6pm.
The Part
As a Christmas Decorations Designer you will be the creative mastermind behind the beauty of our festive season.
Your job is to convert worldwide winter trends into commercial, high quality products, such as elaborate ornaments and towering trees, wreaths, garlands and interior decorations.
You will be instrumental in creating a unified and enchanting holiday look for “Next Home.”
As a vital element of the critical path you will be pushing the boundaries of seasonal decor, developing creative designs that will engage our clients.
You will be working closely with our wider Home design team and buying partners, with full support from our Lead Designers to ensure you hit the ground running for this fast paced 6 month fixed term contract.

Critical path vital player; Creation of new and original Print & Pattern Designs for our Bedding Collection!
What You’ll Be Doing
Design & Innovation
Develop unique, saleable designs for baubles, wreaths, garlands and huge room pieces that support our seasonal trends.
Translation of Trend
With a fine combination of classic and modern styles, turn the global festive trends into actual products.
Technical Design
Generate extensive CAD work and technical specifications to ensure designs are production ready and meet Next quality standards.
Collaboration
Work with Buying and Merch teams to make sure our designs are cost-effective and are delivered on time.
Product Development
Guide a decoration from concept design to finished sample, maintaining the “Next” level of detail at each step of the way.
What You’ll Contribute
Creative Flair
A good eye for festive aesthetics, colour and texture, with the ability to create across multiple materials (glass, flora, textiles etc.).
Technical Proficiency
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator) for high quality CAD creation.
Flexibility
Able to flourish in a fast-paced atmosphere and to strike the ground running in a 6-month contract.
Commercial Awareness
Know the Next consumer and why a Christmas product is a ‘must-have’ – and know it well.
Organisation
Good time management skills to deliver many projects against the seasonal critical route.
Portfolio Requirement
Please attach a digital portfolio so we can get a sense of your style.
We want to see work that exhibits a strong eye on the future of Christmas & Seasonal Decor, and how they can be financially feasible for Next and include your designs and CAD work within this area.
