Many of our regular customers visit daily — whether it’s for their morning paper, a friendly chat, or to pick up the perfect card or gift. We are proud of our exceptional customer service and our strong connection with the community.
⭐ About the Role: Sales Assistant with UK Visa Sponsorship
We are looking for someone cheerful, dependable, and trustworthy to join our small and friendly team.
Weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday) and bank holidays is essential, as these are our busiest trading days.
⭐ Your Daily Responsibilities Of Sales Assistant with UK Visa Sponsorship

Greeting customers warmly and offering friendly, helpful service

Assisting customers in finding the right card or gift for any occasion

Serving at the till, cashing up, and operating the National Lottery terminal

Keeping the shop clean, tidy, and visually appealing

Restocking shelves, pricing products, and checking deliveries (including early morning newspapers)

Building positive relationships with our wonderful regular customers
⭐ Who We’re Looking For

A warm, personable individual who enjoys chatting with customers

Someone reliable, flexible, and able to work weekends and bank holidays

Honest and responsible, especially when handling cash and age-restricted items

Energetic and happy to work in a busy environment

Takes pride in keeping the store clean, organised, and welcoming

Retail experience is an advantage, but not essential — full training is provided
⭐ Hours & Flexibility

Combination of weekday and weekend shifts

Must be available every Saturday and Sunday

Shifts between 7am–6pm (including early starts for newspaper deliveries)

Full-time and part-time positions available
