Complete Job Description

The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing customer accounts, building good connections with local customers and suppliers and trade clients and supporting sales growth at Alam Mini Market Ltd. The role is responsible for identifying new business possibilities, monitoring sales performance, supporting promotions, generating reports, and helping boost client retention and business revenue.

Main duties of the work will include:

  • Developing and managing customer accounts, including local customers, suppliers and trade clients.
  • Identifying new sales prospects and assisting in the growth of business income.
  • Monitoring sales performance and reporting periodically to management.
  • Help with pricing, promotions and client retention tactics.
  • Developing new business contacts and building great ties with existing customers.
  • To liaise with suppliers and internal staff to ensure product availability and seamless business running.
  • Responding professionally to client queries and supporting the resolution of account-related difficulties.
  • Analyse sales patterns, product performance and client demand.
  • Helping to grow the overall business of Alam Mini Market Ltd by enhancing sales, customer service and business partnerships.

Previous experience in a supermarket, grocery, food retail or similar industry would be a benefit but practical sales/account management expertise would be considered equally.

We are able to sponsor visas for suitable people, subject to Home Office Skilled Worker regulations and company sponsorship restrictions.

The ideal applicant is preferably a graduate in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Retail Management or related field with previous experience of sales, account management, business development, retail or client relationship management.

The candidate should have solid knowledge of retail, supermarket, grocery or wholesale operations and should be able to manage customer accounts, create connections with suppliers and trade clients and find new sales prospects.

Strong communication, negotiation, organisational, IT and problem solving skills are necessary.

The candidate must have the ability to assess sales trends, generate reports, support pricing and promotional strategies and be able to operate autonomously in a fast paced retail setting.
