Religious Worker (Supporting Role – Temporary Work: Religious Worker Route) – UK Visa Sponsorship Available
This job is only available to people who have a Temporary Work – Religious Worker (Tier 5) visa. It is a non-pastoral, supportive function in the Gurdwara. The person in this position will not head a church, give pastoral care, or do any of the other things that a Minister of Religion does. In this capacity, you will help the Minister of Religion (the Head Priest) with daily religious activities according to Sikh Rehat Maryada.

Do non-pastoral labour and support tasks as needed to help the Minister of Religion (Head Priest) with all of the organization’s religious duties.
Help the Head Priest run daily and weekly religious programs.
Help plan and get ready for religious festivals, celebrations, and Gurdwara programs.
Help out during services by getting the Darbar Hall ready and making sure that planned events go off without a hitch.
Help get Langar ready and serve it.
Keep areas utilised for religious activity clean and tidy.
Do extra work that the organization properly needs you to do.

Duties (Skills and Experience Needed)
Experience as a Religious Worker or in a similar support function
Ability to do tasks according to Sikh Rehat Maryada while being watched
Punjabi written and spoken well
Knowledge of Sikhism, how Sikhs live their lives, and how to behave in a Gurdwara
Ability to give references from past jobs
Willingness to live by Sikh moral rules
Can work in the UK (the Temporary Work – Religious Worker route can help with getting a visa)
