Overview of the Job
We are looking to add a committed and meticulous Pharmacy Dispenser to our team. You will be in charge of giving patients outstanding treatment and making sure that drugs are dispensed accurately in this position. In order to promote the safe and efficient administration of pharmaceuticals and improve our patients’ general health and wellbeing, you will collaborate closely with chemists and other medical specialists.
Duties
- Assure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements by accurately dispensing patients’ prescribed drugs.
- Help with prescription order preparation, which includes measuring, counting, and combining medications as necessary.
- Assist patients by providing advice on how to take medications, possible adverse effects, and how to store them.
- According to pharmacy procedures, keep thorough records of all patient interactions and medicine dispensations.
- Work together with pharmacists to control inventory levels and make sure that prescription drugs are stocked and kept in the right way.
- Verify unwanted or expired medications on a regular basis and assist in their safe disposal in accordance with laws.
- Assist the pharmacy staff in keeping the workspace neat and orderly.
Qualifications
- It is desirable if you have prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a related position.
- Strong knowledge of patient care concepts and drug delivery procedures.
- Outstanding attention to detail and a dedication to precise drug distribution.
- The capacity to interact with patients and medical professionals in an efficient manner.
- Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to effectively manage several responsibilities.
- A caring approach to patient care that consistently demonstrates understanding and empathy.
