Overview of the Job
We are looking for a kind and committed personal care assistant to help those who require help with everyday tasks. The ideal applicant will be dedicated to improving our clients’ quality of life by making sure they receive care at home. Effective communication skills and the capacity to adhere to care plans while upholding a courteous and sympathetic demeanour are necessary for this position. Part-time
Duties
- Help clients with dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
- As needed, assist clients with transfers and mobility.
- When needed, assist with feeding and meal preparation.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and administer medication in accordance with care plans.
- Keep clients’ living areas tidy and in a clean, safe atmosphere.
- To guarantee continuity of care, effectively communicate with patients, their families, and medical staff.
- Accurately record everyday activities and any modifications to the client’s condition.
Skills
- A driver’s license is necessary.
- Having access to the vehicle is crucial.
- English proficiency is necessary for efficient client and team communication.
- Knowledge of care plans and the capacity to correctly carry them out.
- It is beneficial to have prior experience providing home care or working in a care home setting.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to establish connection with customers and their families.
- Basic IT knowledge for communication with healthcare providers and documentation needs.
- The capacity to work both independently and in a collaborative setting.
