Description of the job
The room manager sets an example for their staff by upholding a high standard of conduct and actively assisting the deputy and nursery manager. This position is part of the ratio and is based in the nursery full-time. In order to make sure that every child visiting the nursery has rich and engaging experiences that are suitable for their age and developmental stage, you will mostly be on the nursery floor supervising practitioners. We require all applicants to have a solid understanding of development matters and adhere to the EYFS statutory framework.
What the position entails:
- Maintain a top-notch, engaging learning environment, oversee employees, and make good use of their skill set.
- To maintain a high standard of childcare practices across the nursery and establish solid relationships with parents, train, inspire, and oversee employees.
- Make sure the nursery’s procedures and supplies adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines.
- Take care of and keep an eye on kids’ physical, emotional, and intellectual needs.
- Keep an eye on the preparation and planning of activities that foster each child’s unique growth in an engaging setting.
- establishing a cordial and transparent working connection with employees.
- Maintain staff-to-child ratios by regularly evaluating employees throughout the day.
