The Stock and Inventory Manager makes sure that there is always enough of each product on hand to keep things running smoothly. They also make sure that there is as little waste as possible. This job is very important for keeping costs down, making sure food is safe, and making the business run smoothly.
Main Duties
Keep an eye on and keep track of all food and supply items in stock.
Based on how much you use and how much you think you’ll need, place frequent orders with recognised providers.
Get deliveries, check them out and store them correctly.
Use and keep an eye on FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices to cut down on waste.
Do daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and fix any differences.
Keep track of food waste and come up with ways to cut down on it
Make sure you follow the rules and standards for food safety in your area.
Keep storage areas (coolers, freezers, and dry storage) clean and organised.
Make regular reports on inventory and waste for management.
Work with the store manager and culinary staff to figure out how much inventory you’ll need.
Teach and help workers how to handle inventory
Requirements – Stock & Inventory Manager UK (Jobs with Visa Sponsorship 2026)
Preferred experience in managing inventory, stock, or food service
Good in organising and managing time
Basic maths and problem-solving skills
Knowing how to use inventory software and point-of-sale systems (experience is a bonus)
Paying attention to the small things and making sure food is safe
Able to lift and move boxes (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods of time
Great in working with others and talking to them
Important Skills:
Leadership and building teams.
Good at helping customers.
Being able to read and understand sales and inventory reports.
Knowing about marketing campaigns and using POP materials.
Experience with managing inventory and keeping track of stock.
Being able to handle stocks, inventory, timetables, and training for employees.
