We are recruiting an experienced IT Service Coordinator to support the transition, delivery, and continuous improvement of critical IT services within the Chief Digital Office (CDO) Division at Social Security Scotland. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to both strategic and operational IT service management in a complex, multi-sourced environment.
⏳ Contract Duration: 47 months
📍 Location: Dundee or Glasgow (Hybrid – minimum 2 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities (IT Jobs UK Visa Sponsorship)
As an IT Service Coordinator, you will:

Oversee a multi-location, multi-supplier service support team focused on service availability and performance

Ensure IT services continue to meet customer and organisational requirements

Maintain and update the IT Service Catalogue and IT service knowledge base
-
Ensure services meet defined reporting, performance, and service standards
-
Manage and communicate technology changes with appropriate governance
-
Lead and embed a continuous service improvement programme across service delivery

Monitor the location and condition of IT assets

Identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities in existing processes

Collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives and benefits

Support and implement process improvement initiatives

Manage incidents and problems through to resolution or mitigation

Analyse service groupings to maximise value from existing services

Demonstrate knowledge of ITIL lifecycle or ITSM frameworks

Produce structured reports with analysis and commentary

Communicate reporting changes to key stakeholders

Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across teams

Contribute to policy development and strategic planning

Gather user requirements using qualitative and quantitative research

Strong commitment to continuous service improvement

Experience challenging existing processes using evidence-based approaches

Familiarity with Agile, PRINCE2, or similar delivery methodologies

Technical Skills

Technical skills will be assessed at the Technical Assessment stage, not during initial application.
