To oversee all facilities services in the ward/department area, we are seeking a proactive and well-organised person. As a member of the clinical team, you will be essential to upholding local and national standards and assisting in the provision of high-quality patient care.
Role: Ward Housekeeper
About the Position: Ward Housekeeper
Assist the Ward/Department Sister in keeping an eye on and upholding cleaning standards.
Encourage audits and adherence to important criteria like:
- Evaluations of the Care Environment by Patients (PLACE)
- Audits of mattresses
- Standards for food and hygiene
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
Important duties(Ward Housekeeper) include of:
- Spot cleaning and making sure hygienic areas are routinely inspected.
- Reporting environmental problems to the Help Desk and making sure they are resolved promptly.
- Preserving the ward’s appearance, including notice boards, signage, and clutter removal.
- Coordinating with housekeeping for specialised cleaning (such as curtains and carpets).
- Greeting and promoting the comfort of patients and guests.
- Ensuring the ward’s equipment is clean and stored safely.
