Summary
We are looking to add a trustworthy and knowledgeable healthcare transport driver to our team. The ideal applicant will be in charge of transporting carers to and from client locations in a safe and effective manner, making sure that deliveries are made on time. This will help our operations by making sure that carers and necessary supplies are transported safely and promptly while following all safety rules. Strong knowledge of driving procedures and the capacity for efficient team and client communication are prerequisites for this position.
Responsibilities
- Carry carers to and from patient sites
- To guarantee mechanical soundness, inspect cars both before and after a trip.
- Effectively communicate delivery timetables and any possible delays to management and care staff.
- Keep thorough records of all deliveries, including distance, fuel consumption, and confirmations of delivery.
- Keep your car clean and perform regular safety inspections.
- While driving, follow all corporate policies and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- A current UK driver’s license (Category B or above).
- It is recommended if you have prior professional driving experience.
- Strong familiarity with the road networks in the UK, especially those in North Wales, Portsmouth, and Bristol.
- The capacity to work a variety of hours, including late at night and early in the morning.
- Outstanding problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Strong mechanical expertise to spot possible problems with the car.
- Outstanding communication abilities for productive interactions with care staff and management.
- The capacity to effectively manage time and operate autonomously.
- A spotless driving record and a dedication to safety.
