About the Role
We are looking to add a caring and committed healthcare assistant to our team in Ipswich, Suffolk. In this position, you will ensure that people in care homes or home care settings receive the best possible care by offering them vital support. Improving our clients’ quality of life will be greatly aided by your ability to speak clearly and help with everyday tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Help clients with grooming, clothing, and bathing, among other personal care duties.
- Encourage clients to participate in everyday activities to help them keep their independence.
- Assist in creating and implementing care plans that are customised to each person’s requirements.
- To guarantee a coordinated approach to care, communicate clearly with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Keep thorough records of your clients’ development and any modifications to their health.
- As needed, drive clients to social events or appointments while making sure they are comfortable and safe.
- To improve your abilities and understanding of healthcare procedures, take part in training programs.
Requirements
- While not required, prior experience providing home care or in a care home setting is beneficial.
- To communicate with consumers and team members effectively, one must be proficient in English.
- Maintaining records and interacting with the healthcare team both benefit from having a basic understanding of IT.
- When it comes to transporting clients, it is preferable to have a valid driver’s license.
