Qualifications
Essential
- Dedication to Ongoing Personal Growth
Desirable
- Mental Health Certificate Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 Qualification, or consent to pursue such training as soon as funding allows
Experience
Essential
- Experience in team-based mental health services delivery, which can be coupled with firsthand knowledge of mental health issues
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Essential
- Fundamental abilities in written communication
- Effective listening and strong verbal communication abilities
- The capacity to come up with creative ways to empower service users
Desirable
- Trained in venipuncture (or open to receiving training)
- Fundamental First Aid Knowledge
- Disclosure and Barring Service Verification
Because this position is governed by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975, a disclosure request must be submitted to the Disclosure and Barring Service (previously CRB) in order to look up any prior criminal convictions.
