Overview of the Job
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring that our clients receive the highest standard of care. This function demands great communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work cooperatively within a team. To make travelling between locations easier, a valid driver’s license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, involving personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support the execution of individual care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
- Monitor and report on clients’ health and wellness, ensuring any changes are conveyed effectively to the healthcare team.
- Maintain a safe and clean setting for clients, following to health and safety regulations.
- Encourage a positive environment by offering clients emotional support and companionship.
- As required by the organisation, keep accurate records and document the care given.
- Work together with medical specialists to guarantee the provision of comprehensive care.
Skill
- Proficient in English with good communication skills for efficient contact with clients and team members.
- Travelling between client sites requires a driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- It is beneficial to have prior experience in a home care or assisted living facility.
