Summary
To join our team, we are looking for a dependable and committed delivery driver. The chosen applicant will be in charge of moving cargo between different sites while making sure that deliveries are made on schedule and safely. Strong customer service skills, the capacity to perform heavy lifting, and outstanding communication abilities are necessary for this position. We would be interested in speaking with you if you have any experience operating a warehouse or driving commercial vehicles.
Duties
- Drive a delivery van or truck safely to deliver items to predetermined areas.
- As you load and unload goods, make sure they are all handled carefully and kept safe while in transit.
- Effectively communicate delivery dates and any possible delays to your clients.
- To make sure the car is in good operating order, do regular maintenance checks and inspections.
- Keep thorough records of all deliveries, including the timings, amounts, and any inconsistencies.
- While driving, follow all corporate policies and traffic laws.
- Help with warehouse tasks as required, such as stock arrangement and inventory monitoring.
Requirements
- A valid driver with a spotless driving record is preferred, as is prior delivery driver experience.
- The capacity to do the physical duties involved in loading and unloading cargo, including heavy lifting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for productive interactions with clients and coworkers.
- It helps to have prior experience driving commercially or in a warehouse.
- Proactive problem-solving skills and the capacity to function both individually and together.
- Depending on delivery schedules, working hours may need to be flexible.
