Domiciliary Care Worker Job Overview

According to Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, this position requires female carers due to the personal care requirements.

The carer will work weekends, mornings, days, and nights. It will be your responsibility to give service users excellent, professional care and assistance in their homes. Meal preparation, medicine administration, personal care, medical appointment support, social activities, and cleaning are all tasks you will help with.

  • Make sure service users are at the centre of the care process and that their choices and wishes improve their well-being.

  • To assist service users in every facet of their daily lives, such as preparing meals and administering medications, so they can live as well as possible.

  • Helping with bathing, showering, and personal hygiene.

  • To provide person-centred care that is specific to each service user while assisting and enabling them to keep their skills and interests.

  • To keep abilities at a current level, engage in training and development as needed sometimes to preserve and advance knowledge.

  • Should consistently exhibit empathy, effective communication, and a composed and considerate demeanour.

  • Make sure that care plans and other guidelines for assisting service users are followed.

  • In charge of advancing and defending the wellbeing of those they assist.
