To join our team, we are looking for a dependable and committed delivery driver. The ideal applicant will be in charge of moving cargo to different places in a safe and effective manner. Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the capacity to perform heavy lifting when necessary are requirements for this position. Deliveries made on time will be essential to maintaining client satisfaction as a delivery driver.
Tasks
- Drive a van to deliver items to predetermined areas.
- Make sure all products are handled safely when you load and unload them from the car.
- Keep thorough delivery records and make sure all documentation is filled out accurately.
- Effectively communicate delivery timetables and any possible problems to customers and warehouse employees.
- While driving, follow all corporate policies and traffic laws.
- To guarantee dependability and safety, perform regular vehicle checkups.
- Help with warehouse tasks as needed, such as organising and managing inventory.
Skills
- It is beneficial to have prior experience as a delivery driver or in a related position.
- Knowledge in logistics and warehouse operations.
- A current driving licence and a spotless driving record are essential; commercial driving experience is ideal.
- The capacity to carry out the physical labour and heavy lifting involved in loading and unloading cargo.
- Excellent communication abilities for productive interactions with clients and coworkers.
- Outstanding time management abilities to guarantee on-time delivery.
- Although owner drivers are welcome, a van can also be supplied if necessary.
