Summary
**SPONSORSHIP** (Switch, even if your prior employer has terminated your employment.) We are looking for kind and committed carers to offer vital help to people who require it. By providing individualised care and companionship, you will be a key contributor to improving our customers’ quality of life as a carer. A nurturing nature and the capacity to collaborate with people who may have different degrees of physical and cognitive difficulties are prerequisites for this role.
Duties
- Ensure the comfort and well-being of your clients by providing them with sensitive care.
- Help with everyday life tasks, such as grooming, clothing, and personal hygiene.
- Give clients their prescriptions as directed and keep an eye out for any adverse effects or changes in their health.
- Make wholesome meals based on each person’s dietary requirements and preferences.
- To encourage mental stimulation, provide company and involve clients in social activities.
- When required, aid clients with heavy lifting and other mobility-related tasks.
- Give expert care to people who need hospice care or who have illnesses like dementia.
- Observe health and safety laws while keeping the client area tidy and secure.
- Keep track of the care given and notify the proper medical personnel of any changes in the client’s condition.
Qualifications
- While not required, prior experience in providing care or a similar profession is preferred.
- Understanding of patient care methods and drug administration.
- It helps to be familiar with assisted living facilities and dementia care procedures.
- First Aid certification is very desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to interact with families, healthcare teams, and clients in an effective manner.
- A sincere desire to serve others and a dedication to offering top-notch care.
- The capacity to carry out heavy lifting as needed by clients.
