What the job is about
As a Care Worker with Supreme Care Services, your job is to give the best care possible to all service users in the comfort of their own homes, while also respecting their privacy, dignity, and wishes and encouraging their independence. By doing this, you will improve and strengthen the company’s reputation for providing high-quality treatment. As a care worker, you might need to help review a service user’s care plan. You will always follow the directions given to you by Supreme Care and do your work in a professional and polite way. You should work on a schedule that includes bank holidays and runs from Monday to Sunday. Care Workers must always keep things private, but if you think the Service User might be in danger, you should tell a care manager in the office right away.
Overall Duty:
To do what’s best for the firm and the Service User(s) and to give them the greatest personal care possible.
· To help and keep up a high level of service and service delivery, follow company rules and procedures, contracts, and the National Minimum Standards set out in the Care Standards Act 2000.
· To meet and go above and beyond the care needs of all service users while working with their family, friends, or significant other(s)
· To make sure you are professional, communicate well, be open to change, and always be honest
General Duties:
· To follow the orders of the Care Managers, coordinators, and other Supreme Care staff
· To do all of the personal care tasks according to the individual service user’s care plan and follow any risk assessments that have been made
· To help the service user remind them to take their medicine safely
· To know how to use equipment including hoists, wheelchairs, stair lifts, and continence management, among other things.
· To give full reports
· To keep getting training that is relevant to your profession and personal growth, both at work and outside of it.
· To follow the rules set out in the Care Standards Act, POVA, the Employment Agencies Act, the Data Protection Act, and the Equal Opportunities Act, including the Race Relations Act 1976, the Sex Discrimination Act 1995, and the Disability
The Discrimination Act of 1995, the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act of 1974, the Sexual Orientation Act of 2003, the Religious Belief Act of 2003, the Equal Pay Act of 1970, and the Working Time Regulations Act of 1998
· To follow the company’s health and safety rules and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 at all times.
· To make sure that all Health & Safety and Risk Assessments are done correctly in the homes of service users
Other Specific Duties:
· To make sure that the care provided meets and exceeds the needs of the service user as outlined in their care plan, and to write full reports after each visit.
· Keep an eye on and report right away any changes in the service user’s health, skin condition, bowel habits, urinary problems, breathing problems, eating and drinking habits, or strange conduct or condition.
To help with all personal and hygiene care, such as dressing and undressing, washing, using the bathroom, taking care of their mouth and hair, and feeding them according to their care plan
· You won’t have to do any nursing activities, like catheterisation, sterile dressings, giving medicine or injections, or introducing any drugs or therapies that aren’t prescribed.
· You should be alert and stop any kind of abuse, and you should be ready to give full reports when asked.
You must always write full reports in the record book that is kept in the home. Also, you need to tell the office about any discoveries right away. If there is an emergency, you should follow the company’s rules and call the company’s emergency line.
Tier 2 sponsorship is free for people who have their own car and a valid UK licence.
We are offering a good salary of £13.85 per hour.
