Our client, a domiciliary care company in Chesterfield, is looking for motivated Care Assistants to join their growing team of carers.
We need people who are kind, loving, dedicated, and dependable to provide high-quality, person-centred care to people in their own homes in Chesterfield. This includes helping adults who are 65 years old or older, those who have mental health issues, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, dementia, or who need palliative care, end-of-life care, respite care, or live-in help.
All care is given in a way that encourages independence, respect, and freedom of choice.
You need to be willing to make care calls between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., according to the rota and the home care schedules that have been set up.
You need to be flexible, understanding, and able to take the lead when working alone or with a larger care team.
Main Duties (Care Assistant Skilled Worker Sponsorship)
Give personal care and help according to the service users’ support plans.
Follow care and risk assessments to make sure that service users can live safely in their own homes.
Help with taking medicine, making meals, and doing minor housework and cleaning.
Help with socialising and encourage independence wherever you can.
Keep precise records and let someone know if you have any concerns or see any dangers.
Make sure you can talk to and get along with service users, their families, and your coworkers.
Respect the diverse requirements and environments of service users when you work in their homes.
Dress according to the rules of the company.
Person Specification
Important Requirements
Has a Level 2 or 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care, or a care-related qualification from the UK or another country that shows they are qualified for the job.
Has a complete UK driving licence and a car.
Willingness to finish the Company’s intense training in knowledge and skills, which includes working with clients under supervision, passing both the theoretical and practical tests, and being signed off as having the abilities needed to start work.
A good understanding of English.
Keeping accurate records.
Ability to spot bad behaviour and alert dangers.
Criteria That Are Desirable
Experience giving medications and keeping an eye on health.
Experience working in home care or domiciliary care.
Proof of continual professional development (for example, learning about disabilities, how to deal with difficult behaviour, how to help with mental health issues, and how to handle medications).
Showed a desire to go forward in the care field (for example, as a senior carer, team leader, or trainer).
Values and Character
The ability to operate alone and with others.
Real empathy, patience, and kindness.
Strong dedication to protecting and respecting others.
Ability to work with others and speak clearly.
Dependability, honesty, and the ability to stay strong under duress.

You get paid for the miles you drive between care calls.
Pay twice as much on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
