Overview of the Role
The efficient financial and operational administration of the service will fall within the purview of the Care Business Manager. This position will oversee the execution of business plans that guarantee financial stability, regulatory compliance, and the provision of exceptional care, working closely with the registered manager. A proactive leader with proven business management expertise in the health or social care industry will be the best applicant.
Principal Duties
- Oversee the business development department in accordance with strategy objectives, spotting and seizing chances for expansion and change.
- Oversee the company’s financial performance, including cost control, financial forecasting, and budget creation, making sure that it complies with the goals established by the franchise owner.
- Manage commissioning procedures and client contracts to ensure revenue generation in line with a long-term business plan.
- To guarantee cost-efficiency, keep an eye on important operational expenses such as staff hours, agency spending, mileage, and travel time.
- In order to assist foreign hiring, settlement procedures, and continuing employee welfare, oversee the Visa Sponsorship program.
- Work together with the registered manager to oversee employee performance in compliance with HR guidelines.
- Make sure that personnel levels, guaranteed hours, staff availability, and absence patterns are accurately tracked and reported.
- In collaboration with the finance administrator, oversee payroll procedures, including statutory deductions, pension contributions, and pay rates.
- Oversee digital care systems (like OneTouch) for tracking expenses, verifying visits, creating invoices, and managing care records.
- Assure the upkeep and security of the office space, tools, cars, and short-term housing for sponsored or live-in employees.
- Maintain adherence to industry standards (such as CQC), corporate policies, and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Engage in the on-call schedule and offer leadership assistance in the event of emergencies or unscheduled staff absences.
- In order to maintain leadership and service delivery during absences, fill in for the registered manager.
