Overview of the job: Business Analyst
We are looking for a seasoned business analyst with talent, knowledge, and desire. We can provide the chance to work on creative solutions that can revolutionise NHS healthcare delivery and scientific research.
The chosen applicant will be employed by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s (OUH) Thames Valley and Surrey (TVS) Secure Data Environment (SDE) Programme. For this significant national initiative, they will help build and deploy systems for data collection, integration, and analysis across a variety of clinical systems and contexts.
The program’s execution will be greatly impacted by the insights and analyses they provide. Collaborating with academic and NHS colleagues throughout the Thames Valley and Surrey region, the post holder will be rewarded by witnessing the application of their analysis’s findings, which will enhance patient care and promote innovative research.

The main duties of the Business Analyst
The chosen applicant will examine, decipher, look into, and evaluate the clinical and business data systems used by Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and other NHS trusts in the TVS SDE region to meet data needs for business and research. In order to improve data collection, management, and workflows, the position holder will collaborate closely with data managers, doctors, software engineers, IT specialists, and other stakeholders within the TVS SDE NHS trusts to identify problems and develop solutions.

- Undergraduate-level education (or a comparable degree or experience)
- Comprehensive understanding of NHS jargon and information needs
