Description of the Job:
To join our expanding team, we are now looking for a talented and meticulous bookkeeper. The ideal applicant would have expertise overseeing daily financial records for small to medium-sized firms and has a solid understanding of UK tax legislation. After a successful probationary term, qualified individuals may be awarded visa sponsorship, and this position offers the chance to advance within the organisation.
Principal Duties:
- Keep up-to-date ledgers and financial records
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and bank reconciliations.
- Compile VAT returns and support tax adherence
- Encourage both year-end and monthly financial reporting
- Communicate with external stakeholders and accountants.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of UK tax and accounting laws
- Experience in bookkeeping or a related financial position in the past
- Outstanding organising abilities and a keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of accounting software, such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
- Strong communication abilities
Desired:
AAT or a comparable accounting credential
Experience in a UK-based finance or accounting company
Extra Details:
Office-based and full-time.
