Discovery Program for Internal Audit Analysts in London in 2026

April 15 and 16, 2026

The Discovery Program is open to all students and is a virtual way to learn about the career choices at Barclays and be considered for our 2027 internship. We want to assist you learn about the jobs we have available and get you to image yourself working in the financial services field.

Barclays Internal Audit (BIA) is very important to our business around the world. We help protect Barclays against all kinds of risks, both those we face now and those that might come up in the future, by checking and making sure that our governance, controls, and risk management processes are working as they should.

We are an independent control function that gives the Board and Executive Management objective, reliable, and useful assurance. We are known as the “third line of defence” and work closely with the business to assist them manage risks better. We achieve this by routinely examining and evaluating all parts of the bank’s business to see how processes are carried out to lower risk. Then we tell everyone what we found and keep an eye on progress to make sure problems are fixed fast and well.

You must be two years out of school and studying any field of study.

You’ll also need to be interested in how a global bank changes in a world that is always changing.

We are always hiring, therefore we suggest that students apply as soon as possible.

Barclays does not pay for people to go to the two-day insight program. However, please keep in mind that if you get a 2027 Summer Internship after the 2-day insight program, Barclays will apply for a skilled worker visa for you so that you can legally work for the entire 2027 Summer Internship Program. If you are offered a spot in the 2027 Summer Internship Program, it will be conditional on your meeting the Home Office’s standards for a skilled worker visa.
