Summary
The Elysium Group is opening a brand-new, upscale wine and cocktail bar in the heart of Colchester.
To run this new business, we are looking for a creative, experienced bar manager with mixology knowledge. The ideal applicant will have a solid foundation in hospitality and a strong desire to provide outstanding customer service and foster a lively environment. In your capacity as bar manager, you will be crucial to the efficient operation of the establishment, hiring, educating, and managing employees, as well as upholding the highest standards for food and beverage service.
Duties
- Oversee day-to-day bar operations, making sure that health and safety rules are followed.
- Maintain a positive and effective work environment by supervising and training bar employees.
- Create and execute creative drink menus that complement the food offerings.
- Supervise inventory control, which includes placing orders for suppliers and managing stock levels.
- Work along with the culinary crew to guarantee smooth serving during peak hours.
- Professionally respond to consumer questions and grievances to guarantee visitor pleasure.
- Track financial performance, including cost-cutting initiatives and sales goals.
- Uphold hygienic standards while keeping the bar area neat and orderly.
Qualifications
- A track record of success in a bar management position or a related capacity in the hospitality sector.
- A solid understanding of cocktail making and bartending methods.
- It helps to have prior experience producing or preparing food and beverages.
- Strong supervision abilities and the capacity to successfully manage a team.
- Excellent written and vocal communication abilities.
