Duties:
- Oversee and manage the bookkeeping for five businesses (Funeral and Property Industries, Inc.)
- Use Xero accounting software to keep accurate records.
- Create cash flow predictions, financial reports, and management accounts every month.
- Make sure HMRC is in compliance by submitting VAT returns (property firms VAT-registered).
- Collaborate with directors on efficiency, structural optimisation, and strategic tax planning.
- Communicate with HMRC and outside accountants as necessary.
- Work together with a small internal financial team consisting of three individuals.
- When necessary, assist with payroll, payment runs, and other financial administration tasks.
