- Help service users with their daily activities.

The main responsibilities of the position
Using your own experience with the Criminal Justice System, treatment, and recovery, you will support service users with vulnerabilities moving through the Criminal Justice System.
You will serve as a positive role model, assisting our service users in understanding, inspiring, motivating, guiding, and supporting their engagement with services and recovery efforts. You will demonstrate demonstrable recovery and illustrate that change is possible.
You will provide emotional and practical support to our service-users by using your own lived experience of the criminal justice system and the problems and fears it can create, enabling them to reach a positive future.
Person Specification
Essential criteria
- Lived involvement with the criminal justice system, including being arrested and taken into police custody, as well as demonstrable rehabilitation for at least one year after ceasing contact with the criminal justice system.
- Required to demonstrate recovery capital and a 1-3 year period of abstinence from substance abuse (including alcohol), as well as a minimum of one year of compliance with any licence conditions/requirements.
Desirable requirements
- Having firsthand lived experience with recovery from substance abuse, mental illness, or other vulnerabilities.
