Summer Volunteering
Adventure Camps for youths aged 6 to 15 have been offered by the Greenhill YMCA since 1936. They currently manage three camps for over 600 kids and teens.
trip Time arrives in the summer, and its Summer Camp offers our community the perfect trip. Every week in July and August, they plan an activity that guarantees their youth a week full of FUN, ADVENTURE, and CHALLENGE.

Year Long Volunteering

How well must I speak English?
You won’t be asked to take an English proficiency test by the Greenhill YMCA. They will schedule an interview with you and determine that you are at a level that enables you to develop your skills, comprehend guidance, and receive training.
Does applying require a visa?
You might need to apply for a temporary worker-charity worker visa (T5) if you want to participate in their year-long program. In order to apply for your visa, Greenhill YMCA will give you a Certificate of Sponsorship and offer assistance throughout the procedure.
How is the accommodation?
Accommodations for volunteer staff are communal and shared areas. A wonderful support network is offered by staying with other volunteers, and the companionship that is formed is a truly special and beneficial experience. You prepare all of your meals at your own lodging.
What are the essential items I should pack?
We advise you to bring the following items:
- A jacket that is waterproof
- Waterproof trousers
- Good hiking boots made with breathable Gore-tex
- Thermals and tracksuit bottoms are made of moisture-wicking material rather than cotton or denim, which absorb moisture and become cold.
- Old, cosy shoes (trainers) that you don’t mind breaking while participating in activities
- Appropriate winter attire due to the wind, rain, and cold
