Salary
After obtaining your NMC pin, you will be promoted to Band 5 from your beginning pay of £25,147 (Band 4). In order to place you on the correct pay point on the Band 5 salary scale, we will calculate your equivalent NHS experience once you have obtained your NMC PIN. This will fall between £28,407 and £34,581.

Which moving-related expenses will the Trust pay for?
The following costs related to your NMC registration and emigration process will be covered by St Georges:
- Sponsorship Certificate: SGHT makes the payment directly
- SGHT pays the immigration skills charge directly.
- According to the Certificate of Sponsorship, the Tier 2 Visa is valid for three years. SGHT pays directly or reimburses through EOD.
- TB screening: EOD reimbursement from SGHT
- SGHT makes direct payments to OECs (Overseas Employment Certificates).
- NMC Application Fee: EOD reimbursement from SGHT
- SGHT reimburses through EOD for the Part 1 Competency Test (CBT).
- SGHT pays ahead of time and then deducts it from the candidate’s payslip for the Part 2 Test of Competence (OSCE).
- SGHT reimbursement through EOD for admission to the NMC register
- SGHT reimburses IELTS Academic through EOD
- IELTS for Immigration and UK Visas: SGHT reimbursement through EOD
- OET-SGHT reimbursement through EOD
- The Immigration Health Surcharge is not refundable.
- Visa fees are reimbursed by SGHT through EOD.
- Flight up to £800, with EOD reimbursement from SGHT
- Accommodation assistance for the first four weeks is paid for directly by SGHT.
- SGHT pays directly for the pastoral package.
- Candidates are transferred from the airport of arrival, and SGHT makes the payment directly.
- If appropriate, agency fees are paid directly by SGHT.
Following your successful completion of Part 2 of the NMC test of competence (OSCE exam), all reimbursements will be processed using the Expenses on Demand (EOD) online system, which is accessible via the Trust intranet. Depending on when the request was submitted, the money will appear on your subsequent payslip.
